About OUTLIER.
Overview
OUTLIER. is a building design practice based in Central Victoria, Australia, working across the country. It specialises in the Hybrid:Home methodology, a design approach built around panelised construction systems (SIPs and CLT) rather than conventional site-built framing.
OUTLIER designs new homes primarily for retirees and downsizers planning their next chapter: accessible, easy-care layouts, single level where the site allows for it, low running costs, comfort and health through airtight construction and mechanical ventilation, and simplicity to live with day to day. OUTLIER also takes on renovation work when a client specifically requests it, though new builds are the primary focus.
What makes OUTLIER’s approach distinct
Panelised construction (SIPs/CLT) rather than traditional stick framing, giving faster, more precise, weather-independent builds.
In-construction performance verification: blower door air-tightness testing and thermal camera inspection during the build, giving clients tangible proof the home is performing as designed, not just a paper claim.
A boutique model, working on a small number of projects at a time rather than high volume, led by principal Anthony Jenkin.
A connection to Panel Haus, a sister business supplying European SIP and CLT panel systems, giving OUTLIER direct expertise in the panelised construction supply chain. This is the next evolution of Anthony’s original mission.
